As Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS begin a contentious cost-cutting exercise, United revealed earlier this week that they were raising ticket prices, which sparked a fierce outcry. Regardless of the buyer's age, tickets for the rest of the season will now start at 66 euros. They have already laid off several employees and fired renowned former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Manchester United wants to turn their fortune

With United supporters creating an X-rated chant that compares them to the wildly unpopular Glazers, it seems that the tide has finally turned. Despite their repeated protests against the Glazer family's ownership, many United supporters thought Ratcliffe and INEOS would provide them a new beginning. That hasn't exactly worked out, as the team is still in the bottom half of the Premier League standings after being forced to make a managerial change, firing Erik Ten Hag and bringing in Ruben Amorim.

Everton is still having trouble but has a good chance of recovering; they are now in 15th place with 11 points from 12 games, whereas United is in 12th place with 16 points from 12 games. They have five draws, five losses, and two victories. Manchester United enters this game having played a passable game against Bodo/Glimt, winning 3-2, which was unexpected because the Red Devils were undoubtedly expecting better. Meanwhile, Ruben Amorin will aim for his first Premier League win since being appointed as manager of the club.
