WWE superstar and YouTuber Logan Paul issued a challenge to Lionel Messi to a boxing match to address their legal dispute regarding energy drinks. Paul asserted that Messi's Mas+ brand has imitated his PRIME drink, which has resulted in lawsuits from both parties.
Paul had proposed to settle the matter in the boxing ring instead of going back and forth to the court. While Messi has not publicly responded to the challenge, his bodyguard, Yassine Chueko, has been vocal about his position and made an offer to Logan Paul about the same.

The former Navy SEAL dismissed Paul's callout, asserting that Messi is a footballer, not a fighter. He further suggested that if Paul seeks a fight, he should direct his attention toward him instead.
"Who !? Look Leo doesn't know who this guy is so if he really wanna fight he can fight against me, not against a soccer player." Yassine Chueko said.
Mas+ sued Logan Paul's company for anti-competitive behaviour and accused them of pressuring retailers not to sell their product. Paul's company filed a lawsuit of their own suing Mas+ for copying their packaging.
Logan Paul signed with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in 2022. He has participated in two professional boxing bouts against the likes of KSI and Dillon Danis. He boasts a record of one win and a loss in pro boxing bouts, having lost to KSI in 2019 and defeated Dillion in 2023.
Lionel Messi has returned to play eleven of his MLS club, Inter Miami. He also scored a goal in the club's last fixture in the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
