Lionel Messi scores an amazing free-kick goal
While Inter Miami trailed 3-1, the Argentine's magical left foot came to the rescue of the Herons. Taking a free kick from outside the box, Lionel Messi scored a bullet free kick goal in the 86th minute. This wasn't the end of the night for the little man as he assisted in the fifth minute of added time to help his side clinch a point from the fixture.
Miami conceded three goals for the third consecutive match, but a late goal from the Argentine player helped secure a draw and prevent the team from leaving without any points.
Lionel Messi has netted six goals so far this season. He has netted three times in the last five matches. Although the Argentine has returned to his scoring form, he still hasn't been able to help his side win a match in the last 8 fixtures. The team appears to be in all sorts of bother when it comes to their defence, which has conceded as many as 13 goals in the last four games. Such a dismal defensive display has pushed the club to the 7th position in the Eastern Conference standings. The Herons will next take on Montreal in their next MLS fixture on May 29th.
