Among long list of his admirers is popular Indian movie star Mohanlal. The renowned Malyali filmstar, recently shared a remarkable moment by receiving a special gift from the 2022 FIFA World Cup champion.

Mohanlal received special gift from Messi 

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal recently took to social media to express his excitement about receiving a hand-signed jersey from football legend Lionel Messi. In his post, the actor conveyed his admiration for Messi and extended his gratitude to the two friends who facilitated this remarkable gift.

Mohanlal was presented this gift on the sets of 'Hridayapoorvam', an upcoming film directed by Sathyan Anthikad. Upon receiving the gift both Mohanlal and Sathyan Anthikad, were left completely surprised.

"Some moments in life feel too profound for words. They stay with you forever. Today, I experienced one of those moments. As I gently unwrapped the gift, my heart skipped a beat—a jersey signed by the legend himself, Lionel Messi. And there it was… my name, written in his own hand. For someone who has long admired Messi, not just for his brilliance on the field but for his humility and grace, this was truly special," Mohanlal wrote on his Instagram.

"This incredible moment wouldn’t have been possible without the kindness of two dear friends: Dr. Rajeev Mangottil and Rajesh Philip. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. And above all, thank you, God, for this unforgettable gift," Mohanlal added.

It is speculated that Lionel Messi will extend his tenure at the MLS club following an impressive inaugural season in which he led the team to the Supporters Shield. As Inter Miami's leading scorer, Messi has found the back of the net 42 times in 50 appearances. His current contract is set to expire at the end of the current Major League Soccer season.
