In a similar scenario, a young kid wanted to get a hug from the World Cup-winning captain during his practice session. What followed was a moment that can melt anyone's heart.

Lionel Messi was at the Chase Stadium in Miami. During a recent warm-up session, the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner was visited by a young fan. The young kid wanted to hug the global footballing icon. The kid was accompanied by his mother on the pitch side.
"Messi, look at me. I want to hug you, Messi!" the kid requested.
The mother-son duo then tried to invade the pitch in an attempt to meet Messi. The security, however, stopped both of them. Messi saw the commotion and walked towards the pitch side. Seeing this, the kids' mother left him to walk towards Messi to meet him. The kid opened his arms towards the footballing great which Messi accepted and gave him a tight hug.
Lionel Messi is expected to prolong his stay at the MLS club after having a wonderful first season where he guided the team to the Supporters Shield. Messi is already Inter Miami's top scorer having netted 42 goals in 50 appearances for the side. Messi's contract is set to expire in 2025.
