Spanish football's youngest prodigy, Lamine Yamal, reigned supreme in the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League. Spain defeated France in a closely contested match to make their way into the finals of the UEFA Nations League.
The European champions edged past France 5-4 in a goal fest. Lamine Yamal was the star of the show for the Spanish side as he netted twice in the knockout fixture.

Spain dominated France in the first half of the fixture as they scored two goals in the first half via Nico Williams and Mikel Merino in the 22nd and 25th minute respectively. The teen sensation Lamine Yamal plunged into action in the second half of the fixture.
The 17-year-old struck twice in the match, once from the penalty spot and the other time from open play. Yamal netted his first goal from a penalty in the 54th minute. He followed it up with a brilliant goal from open play as he dribbled past a French defender to slot in a goal. The goal put the Spanish side 4-1 up by the 68th minute.

The French side almost staged a 'remontada' in the final 30 minutes as they racked in three goals. Cherki and Kolo Muani scored in the 79th and 90+3rd minute. Vivian was involved in an unfortunate own-goal in the 84th minute. However, the Spanish defence contained the French attackers in the final minutes to move into the finals of the UEFA Nations League. The Spanish side is going to face Portugal in the finals of the UEFA Nations League on 9th June.
The 17-year-old is one of the brightest prospects for winning the Ballon d'Or this season. He had won the domestic treble with FC Barcelona while contributing 18 goals and 25 assists across club competitions. He was one of the standout players in the semifinals of the UCL against Inter Milan. For his national side, the youngster has already netted 6 goals and assisted twice in just 20 appearances.
The teenager will take on two of the game's biggest names, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, this year. He will take on the greatest goal-scorer of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo, in the finals of the Nations League, and the undisputed king of football, Lionel Messi, in the Finalissima.
