During a recent match between FC Seoul and Daejeon Hana, former Manchester United United icon Jesse Lingard, who now plays for FC Seoul, scored a goal and celebrated with his signature dance moves. However, Daejeon Hana's Kim Hyeon-ug scored the winning goal and mimicked Lingard's celebration in the 83rd minute, much to the delight of his teammates.

Lingard's Surprise Transfer to Asia
The ex-Manchester United player made the surprising decision to relocate to South Korea during the summer in search of a new club. After his contract with Nottingham Forest expired, he received multiple offers but ultimately chose to move to Asia. Lingard is now the highest-paid player in the K-League, although he is still earning a modest salary. However, his transition hasn't been without challenges. Former Seoul boss Kim Gi-dong publicly criticized Lingard's work rate after he came off the bench in their 2-0 win over Jeju United earlier in the season.
Lingard's work rate under the radar
FC Seoul Manager complained that Lingard was not giving his best at the Club and was not working hard for the team. Manager Criticised Lingard's work ethic and asserted that he would have signed a more famous retired player if fame alone would win you matches.
FC Seoul is currently in fifth place in the table, but Lingard seems to be dominating in Asia after facing challenges back in his homeland.
Lingard's records of the past and present
Since joining FC Seoul in February, Lingard has scored four goals in 18 games, following his time at Nottingham Forest. The former England international made a significant impact at Manchester United, with over 200 appearances and 35 goals, including the winning goal against Crystal Palace in the 2016 FA Cup final.
Lingard also had successful loan spells, notably with West Ham in 2021.
