For the second straight week, Pep Guardiola's defending champions got there three wins out of three in the English Premier League with a hat-trick from Erling Haaland. The defending champions under Pep Guardiola, who are vying for a sixth straight championship, defeated Arsenal 3-1 and exacted revenge on the team that had let points go earlier in the day.

In just 11 minutes, Haaland, who had scored three more goals in the previous weekend's 4-1 triumph against Ipswich Town—took the lead in east London, but an own goal by Ruben Dias offered Julen Lopetegui's West Ham team a chance to shock the odds.

Haaland scored again during the first half of the match to give City six goals across three league games, but they did not give up. With six minutes remaining in normal time, the Norwegian striker scored his third goal, stunning West Ham following their heroic comeback failed to produce an equalizer. Even with his tremendous output, Erling Haaland still needs a lot of sitters.

The home crowd was ecstatic when the City striker, with only six minutes remaining, fired a simple header quietly over the bar. West Ham, who had gotten off to a strong and determined start, would have been anticipating that Haaland was having a bad game when jeers broke out shortly after.

Ruben Dias has won the Premier League in each of the past four full years with Manchester City, so you really can't fault him for anything. However, the Portugal international possesses a very dismal record when it comes to own goals. Dias had nine career goals to his credit before arriving to east London. That turned into ten when he gave West Ham another chance by deflecting Jarrod Bowen's low shot towards the back of his very own net.
