Turkish Club giants Galatasaray got eliminated by Swiss Club Young Boys from the Champions League as they lost 4-2 (on aggregate) in the qualifying round of the new 36-team format competition.

However, the Turkish Club made the headlines for its goalkeeper, Fernando Muslera, who lost his cool during the match and attacked one of the players from Swiss Boys, which landed him a red card.  

Galatasaray came into the match following a 3-2 loss at Bern against Young Boys, and the team needed to win the second leg of the draw in their home ground in Istanbul, if they were to give themselves a chance of making it to the UEFA Champions League. However, the story didn't unfold in the manner Galatasaray expected it to be

Galatasaray's Goalkeeper Gets a Straight Red 

Galatasaray started the match aggressively and came close to scoring multiple times until the 87th minute when Young Boys forward Alan Virginius found Galatasaray's net in a quick counterattack. 

The French player's celebratory display in front of the home fans sparked a reaction from the goalkeeper, who was trained at Wanderers. The goalkeeper kicked the French player as his opponent ran away, resulting in a series of shoves between the players. As a consequence, Muslera received a red card, but the outcome of the game, a qualifier to the Champions League remained unchanged. The Turks, down to 10 men with 2 goals deficit tried their best, but all of it went in vain as young boys denied them a single Goal and eliminated them in front of their home crowd.

The Swiss team emerged victorious, thus securing their place in the  Additionally, Salzburg and Sparta Prague advanced to the next stage after defeating Dynamo Kiev and Malmo on Tuesday.
