Uruguayan goalkeeper Fernando Muslera stepped up to score a goal from the penalty spot to help his side win the League title. The Galatassray goalkeeper is on the verge of bidding farewell to the club after rendering his services for over a decade.
Galatasaray defeated Kayserispor 3-0 at their home ground to bag the Turkish League title. The win guaranteed the team's top spot in the leaderboard for the 2024-25 season.

Fernando Muslera scores League-winning goal for Galatasaray
The Uruguayan goalkeeper took charge of the penalty kick in the 88th minute. He appeared determined to score the League-winning goal for his Galatasaray. He kept a short run-up and slotted the ball towards the goal. Although the opposition goalkeeper anticipated the direction of the shot, he failed to save it. All the players ran towards Muslera to celebrate his goal as the 38-year-old was crowded by his team and management staff.

Muslera is poised to conclude his 14-year tenure with Galatasaray in June when his contract expires. The legendary goalkeeper made a memorable exit by helping secure the Turkish Super Lig giants' 25th title. Galatasaray has now officially claimed the championship, finishing eight points ahead of José Mourinho's Fenerbahçe with two matches remaining.
The Uruguayan joined Galatasaray back in 2011 and has since made more than 550 appearances for the club. He has amassed a total of 8 league wins and 5 Turkish Cups in his 14-year career at RAMS Park. He has also won a Copa America title with his national side in 2011. He has also scored two goals in his career, both of which came from the penalty spots.
