In a set-piece scenario, Eberechi Eze brilliantly curled a shot past Robert Sanchez as Chelsea struggled to clear their lines. For the majority of the game, he had no scent, yet all he needed was the smallest opportunity. Eze produced a fantastic finish to equalise the score for Crystal Palace.
At the conclusion of the first half, Chelsea led justifiably because they appear to be the superior team. Cole Palmer along with Noni Madueke are currently experiencing an excellent connection. Despite a few close calls, Crystal Palace was unable to include Eberechi Eze throughout the match until their leveller. His frustration was evident when he attempted a 40-yard free kick, but it fell well short.

As Crystal Palace attempted to move forward and try to score a goal against Chelsea, their defence became disorganised. Following the Blues' recovery of the ball, Cole Palmer goes near the penalty area and threading a pass between the Palace custodian and defenders he spots Nicolas Jackson in close proximity to the net. The Blues striker makes no mistakes as he puts the ball in the goal to start the scoring at Stamford Bridge.
Nicolas Jackson set to stay at Chelsea till 2033
Nicolas Jackson will remain at Chelsea through 2033 after agreeing to commit to a contract extension. The 23-year-old agreed to an eight-year contract with the Blues in 2023, with the option to extend until 2031. According to the reports, he has now consented to sign a two-year agreement, keeping him committed to the team for an additional nine years.
Enzo Maresca has faith in Jackson to guide their attacking line, which also includes Joao Felix as well as Christopher Nkunku. March Guihi is viewed as a player for the future. Chelsea made every effort to sign Victor Osimhen, but despite negotiations continuing until the transfer window's last day, no deal was reached and the London club would have to do with their current forwards.
