Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has completed a season-long loan move to Chelsea. The deal includes an obligation to buy and comes after intense negotiations. After submitting a deal sheet before the transfer window deadline, both clubs were granted a two-hour extension to finalize the transfer.
Sancho's Departure was Foreseen
Sancho's loan move from United to Chelsea is for a fee rising to £25m when his season-long loan concludes in June 2025.
The entire summer, Manchester United was willing to sell Sancho, even though Erik ten Hag had welcomed him back to the team and stated that their dispute from last season was over.
When Manchester United's coach, Eric Ten Hag was asked about Sancho's stand in the squad, he stated:- "As I know, yeah. He is a player in our squad and we are happy with him."
"We need a good squad, we need depth in the squad, we have to play many games until January, the new format of Europe. After the break, we will play every third day, so we need options." - Ten Hag added.

Juventus had shown interest in Sancho, and United had conversations about a potential exchange deal with Chelsea, which would have included Raheem Sterling.
Since joining the club for £72.9 million in 2021, United has only seen occasional displays of Sancho's talent, and his record of 12 goals in 83 appearances is not impressive.
Sancho scored a goal against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge during his first season with United.
Sancho's arrival is to be announced soon
As per Athletic, the move of Sancho from Manchester United to Chelsea had been completed by the 11 pm deadline. Chelsea is expected to make the announcement soon.
