David Raya has been dubbed the "save of the season" after making an incredible stop to prevent Ollie Watkins. The Aston Villa forward was denied by the Arsenal custodian with what looked to be an almost unbelievable stop, keeping the score tied.

First, a deflected attempt that struck the crossbar saw the ball looping. Watkins was first to react as the ball rebounded and tried to head it goalwards. However, the Arsenal goalie recovered quickly enough to make the stop and push it out of the danger area. On social media, supporters praised the Spaniard for his valiant play during the Premier League match.

Technical problems with the official's communication caused a five-minute delay in the Arsenal and Aston Villa match. William Saliba as well as John McGinn got into a furious fight in the first half, making it a fierce match. Leandro Trossard, a substitute, scored the first goal barely 13 minutes after David Raya made the save.

During the 77th minute, Emiliano Martinez pushed Thomas Partey's timid shot into the back of the net to double the lead. With two victories from two games this season, the Gunners managed to hold on and secure all three points. With the victory, Arteta's team is now level with Manchester City, who had earlier in the day defeated Ipswich Town.

Why did Gabriel Jesus miss the game against Aston Villa?

The Arsenal team that played Aston Villa in the Premier League did not include Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian, who missed a significant portion of the last campaign due to injury, had a great preseason. However, he is unable to play in today's game at Villa Park due to a groin injury.

In other words, Kai Havertz remained in position nine. He was flanked by Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka on the Arsenal forward line. In all, Mikel Arteta made two changes to his starting lineup from the 2-0 success over Wolverhampton Wanderers the previous week. Oleksandr Zinchenko is also being replaced at left back by Jurrien Timber.
