WATCH: Kai Havertz and Toti Gomes have an ugly scuffle on the pitch during Arsenal vs Wolves EPL match

The English Premier League has started and we have had a first few games of the season already which features some of the big teams in the business. One of the teams we were looking forward to seeing is Arsenal FC who are among the most iconic teams in English Footballl and have improved a lot in the last few seasons. They were set to start their season of against Wolves who are another upcoming team in England with some exciting players in the mix.

The match was in favor of the Gunners as Kai Havertz strikes gold for Arsenal in the 25th minute and keeps them in the lead. We did see some glimpses of great football from the Wolves, but it did not create a dent in the score at all. The goal from Bukayo Saka was enough to extend the lead for Arsenal and they went on to win the match 2-0 and get their first win in the Premier League. This was one of the best starts Arsenal can have and they will be full of confidence.

Toti and havertz scuffle

There is no doubt that Arsenal were the better team in the match and the challenges from the Wolves defenders says it all. One such challenge featured the likes of Kai Havertz once again as Toti Gomes had one of the worst challenges in the game where not only did he give the ball away to the midfielder, but also took Harvertz down in the end. Havertz was slammed to the ground and it cost him and his team deeply as not only was it a free kick for Arsenal, it was also a yellow card for the defender. This was clearly one of the most ugly challenges we have seen this season so far which hurt the Wolves in the game.

This seemed like a reaction to how good the Arsenal attack was where Havertz and Saka were easily going through the defenses easily and went on to win the game as well. The challenge from Toti on Havertz was a huge example of how the defenders were struggling to keep them down. However for the Wolves they have toi make sure that rash challenges like this are not made in the future as this can cost them many games.
