The victory ensured Al-Nassr reduced the margin with league leaders Al-Ittihad. The two sides now stand 10 points apart from each other.

The home team gained an early advantage when Ronaldo placed the ball into an open net, following a well-anticipated save by Al Kholood’s goalkeeper, Marcelo Grohe, on Duran’s close-range attempt. However, the ball rebounded towards Ronaldo, who didn't hesitate to finish. Ronaldo now has scored a total of 19 goals this season and stands as the leading goal scorer of the Saudi Pro League.

Al Kholood equalised just five minutes later when Myziane Maolida scored from the edge of the box. However, the goal was disallowed following a VAR review, which concluded that the Al Kholood forward had fouled Mane before taking his shot.

Al-Nassr doubled its advantage with Ronaldo serving a beautiful through ball for Salem, who curled in an effective cross that was slotted home by Sadio Mane.

Al Nassr hit its third in the 41st minute via Duran. Just when things appeared to be fine for Al-Nassr, fortunes turned as Nawaf Boushal received his marching orders. He received two bookings in a span of 10 minutes. The away side took advantage of the situation as they reduced the deficit to two goals due to an unfortunate own goal

Al-Nassr's defence stood strong for the rest of the match and won the fixture 3-1. Al-Nassr now has 51 points in 25 matches. The victory enabled the club to climb up the ladder. They now sit in the third spot, three points shy of second-placed Al-Hilal.
