In the closing minutes of the fixture at Estadio Dom Afonso Henriques, Antony once again took the spotlight as he sprinted past Mikel Villanueva down the wing, creating an opportunity for his teammate Isco, who calmly finished to seal a commanding victory. The victory marked an impressive milestone for Real Betis as they reached the quarter-finals of a European competition for the first time since the season of 1997-98.
Since leaving Old Trafford on a loan spell to Real Betis, Antony has run riot with his top-notch performances. He has already contributed four goals and 3 assists for Real Betis in ten appearances across club competitions. Notably, Antony recorded the same goal contributions for Manchester United in the entirety of last season. Antony will once again appear for Real Betis when they face Leganes in their next Laliga assignment on Sunday, March 16.
