Barcelona's wild celebrations
FC Barcelona defeated arch-rivals Real Madrid in the third consecutive El-Classico of the current season to win Copa del Rey for the 32nd time. Ferran Torres and Jules Koundé led Barcelona's remontada at Estadio de La Cartuja.
Real Madrid put their best foot forward in an attempt to bag at least a silverware this season but their efforts went in vain in extra time. Real Madrid's quest for their first win against FC Barcelona this season extended further.
Following the victory, both the players and fans were indulged in wild celebrations. Captain Raphinha was captured celebrating with the trophy waving it towards the fans. Lamine Yamal donned his flipped jersey and gave poses to the cameraman.

FC Barcelona were off to a great start in the finals and controlled the first half. In the 26th minute, Lamine Yamal played a pivotal role in the first goal. After receiving the ball on the right wing, Yamal skillfully manoeuvred into Madrid's box and located an unmarked Pedri at the edge of the box. Pedri then unleashed a powerful first-time shot that found the back of the net, giving Barcelona a 1-0 lead at the stroke of half-time.
Carlo Ancelotti brought Kylian Mbappe into the match during the second half, and Madrid's attacks began to grow more menacing. After a few missed opportunities, Mbappe finally equalized for Madrid with a stunning free-kick from the edge of the box. Tchouameni then joined the action, scoring in the 77th minute following a corner kick. Just when it appeared that Barcelona was down for the count, Lamine Yamal delivered an astonishing pass to Ferran Torres, who dribbled past a goalkeeper and defender to slot the ball into the net.
The deadlock remained and so the game went into extra time. In an expected passage of play, Jules Koundé intercepted a pass in the 116th minute and thundered a shot from outside the box towards the goal. Thibault Courtois was unable to reach and save the shot as Koundé's goalazo won Barçelona the first of the three trophies in their sights.
