Arne Slot, the manager of Liverpool, made fun of Jamie Carragher after interjecting during his team's 2-0 victory over Brentford on Sky Sports. After leading Liverpool to victory for the second time in a row and winning at Anfield, the Dutchman seemed to be in high spirits. Goals from Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz completed a smooth and convincing victory against the Bees.

Additionally, Slot showed off his skills after the game when, just after joining the Sky Sports group pitchside to analyse it, he took a jab at Carragher. When Slot started to stroll by the Reds veteran to join Jamie Carragher as well as Izzy Christiansen, host Kelly Cates became sidetracked from Carragher's analysis of Liverpool's performance and their daring attacking manoeuvres against Brentford.

Cates said: "I'm not even listening," as she greeted the Liverpool manager with a handshake. This prompted the former Reds defender to say that, "I know you're not [listening], I'm talking to you and you're not even looking at me." Slot immediately joined the conversation and commented that, "Does anyone ever listen to him?" Carragher could only see the humorous side in this before stating that, "That's the clip. That's the meme."

With his famous mispronunciation of "Internazionale" following AC Milan's UEFA Champions League match against Napoli last year, the 46-year-old left Micah Richards in tears. The former Manchester City defender has a history of making light of himself during TV broadcasts of sporting events.

“We controlled the counter attacks, we controlled the build up” : Arne Slot

Later, Arne Slot discussed his opinions on the match, stating that he was happy with his team's performance on both ends of the ball, impressing with their counterattacks and maintaining a clean sheet versus Brentford.

The former Feyernoord manager said that, "Especially our defensive performance today was really good. We controlled the counter attacks, we controlled the build up and created many good chances, especially in the second half."
