Barcelona have made a strong push to sign AC Milan winger Rafael Leao before the transfer window closes. The Spanish giant is keen to secure the services of the Portugal superstar for the upcoming season, but it may not be as smooth as they had hoped.
According to the latest update, Leao is also excited to move from Italy to Spain. However, Milan are reportedly demanding around €90m for the deal. The 25-year-old has a contract with his current club till 2028 and his market value is around €90-100 million.
Barcelona will have to work hard to make this complicated signing happen. Their hopes depend on Leao's manager, Jorge Mendes, to facilitate things. Milan may also consider a player swap, but there is no official confirmation of that at the moment.
With the summer transfer window closing at the end of this month, time is running out for Barcelona and they are leaving no stone unturned to land the star forward. Their determination grew after Ferran Torres was linked with a potential move to Newcastle.

Notably, the Blaugrana have been in pursuit of a new left-winger this summer. They were after Nico Williams, but the Spaniard decided to stay at Athletic Club. Liverpool’s Luis Diaz was also seen as an option, but his exit was ruled out and now Barcelona have their sights firmly set on Leao.
They are looking for someone who can meet their needs both on and off the field. Leo is an excellent winger who can shine on both flanks. Known for his skill, speed and dribbling ability, Leo is considered a superstar. He can contribute with goals and assists.
Not to forget, Leao is a player that Barça president Joan Laporta has admired for some time now. It is learned that the Spanish club is planning to close the transfer window with a statement signing.
