In the midst of a quiet summer, Liverpool manager Arne Slot has updated supporters on the team's transfer plans. Although a fresh phase at Liverpool has begun with the departure of Jurgen Klopp from Anfield, it now appears to be very similar to the previous one.

Slot has taken over the coaching dugout from the dynamic German, but he hasn't brought in many new players. After an outstanding preseason in which they won every game, including against Manchester United and Arsenal, two of the Premier League's biggest rivals, he has been thrilled by his present team.

Arne Slot said while speaking to the media that, "I am focused on the tour, how we played, what we need to improve and what we did well. Like I said, the bar is really high for new signings because we have so many good players.”

The former Eredivisie manager said, "So it is not so easy to first find a player to meet those standards and then [the question is] is he available? Then we have to find an agreement with them, so it is not always easy to find a player who can help us but [sporting director] Richard [Hughes] is working hard on it and let's see what comes from this.”

“My main focus is the team over here” : Arne Slot

Liverpool has been watching a defensive midfielder for the previous 12 months after losing out on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, who eventually joined Chelsea. But he speaks about his focus and his aims for the upcoming month.

He added, "My main focus, as I said when I started, was working with the team and preparing them in the best possible way for the first Premier League game and of course for these games as well and apart from that he is working on things and he keeps me updated every time but my main focus is the team over here."
