Liverpool and Manchester United shared points as the game ended in a draw, displaying the energy lacking under new manager Ruben Amorim. After 52 minutes, Lisandro Martinez ripped a finish high past Alisson to give United a startling lead, trying to avoid four straight league losses for the first time since 1979.
Cody Gakpo's incredible angled shot seven minutes later put Liverpool level, but all of United's hard work appeared to be in nothing. A video assistant referee intervened to award a handball against Matthijs de Ligt. With 20 minutes remaining, Mohamed Salah tied Thierry Henry's record of 175 Premier League goals with a penalty kick.
Nevertheless, Manchester United was unstoppable, as Amad Diallo scored another significant goal after turning in Alejandro Garnacho's cutback which was a turning point for Manchester United. In the end, a draw was reasonable, giving United something to improve on and keeping Liverpool six points ahead with one game remaining.

Both teams missed several chances in first half
United had possibly played their greatest 45 minutes of the Ruben Amorim era, and they were pleased at the end of the half. After the interval, United maintained their dominance, taking the lead in the 52nd minute thanks to Lisandro Martínez. Due to Trent Alexander-Arnold's mistake, Bruno Fernandes could slip in the Argentine and smash the ball past Alisson.
After being put in by Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo skillfully cut inside and fired past Onana, extending their advantage to only seven minutes, a little more than ten minutes later, Liverpool completely changed the course of the match when Mohamed Salah scored from the penalty spot after de Ligt made another error, this time involving the ball. After Alejandro Garnacho pulled back, United recovered and Amad snuck the ball under Alisson to tie the score in the 80th minute.
Liverpool did have the first two opportunities, with Cody Gakpo lifting one wide of the goal immediately after and Luis Díaz firing over following a pinball in the box.
Amad squandered a gilt-edged opportunity with the goal gaping in the 20th minute, giving United the lead. Diogo Dalot pushed the ball in after Bruno Fernandes passed through Liverpool's high line, but the Ivorian misjudged his header six yards away.
