Alvaro Morata, a striker for Spain, got an injury on Tuesday after his team defeated France in the Euro 2024 quarterfinals when a stadium security officer accidentally pushed into his right leg. The player's right leg was hurt when the guard, who was chasing a fan who had entered the field, slipped and collided with it. The captain of Spain was visibly wobbling as he attempted to savor the 2-1 victory against France.

Luis de la Fuente's team had a frantic start to the semi-final match, going down when Randal Kolo Muani scored within the first 10 minutes. However, it only took 11 more minutes for La Roja to level the score, thanks to a spectacular strike from 16-year-old prodigal Lamine Yamal.

Four minutes later, Dani Olmo put his side ahead, leaving France to chase the score against a team with a perfect record in the competition so far, and despite a stronger second-half performance replete with almost-chances, they were unable to overcome the gap.

Coach Luis de la Fuente of Spain said that Morata had been "knocked" during what he described as the fan's "moment of excessive euphoria." However, he continued, "We don't think it is anything" significant.

Alvaro Morata to miss Euro finals?

The Atletico Madrid striker was screaming in pain as his knee twisted from the collision and appeared unhappy as he exited the ground. Spain is hoping he will be ready for the final on Sunday, but their captain is scheduled for a scan on Wednesday.

This comes after Morata stirred outrage in Spain's camp by threatening to leave the national squad after the tournament due to 'nonsense' comments.  The striker previously confessed it would be 'easier' for him to go abroad due to the awful treatment, and he detailed the impact on his family, which includes his wife and four small children.

The 76th minute saw the substitution of Morata. Spain will play the Netherlands or England in the final on Sunday in Berlin. The 31-year-old Morata has started five of Spain's six tournament games and has only scored one goal.
