‘During the UEFA Euro 2024 semi final on Tuesday, Spain defeated France 2-1 to secure a berth in the championship game. Spain made history by being the first squad in the Euros to win six straight games and advance to the championship match. The 2012 Euros winners would now face the winner of the other semi-final between Netherlands and England.
Kolo Muani headed in a cross from Kylian Mbappe's left flank into the net to give France the lead in the eighth minute. In the twenty-first minute, Lamine Yamal tied the score with a left-footed stunner from the edge of the box that beat French goalkeeper Mike Maignan and struck the post. Dani Olmo netted the game-winning goal four minutes later after French defender Jules Kounde deflected his shot into the net.
Lamine Yamal broke Pele's record of being the youngest player to find the back of the net during a major international event and became the youngest player in Euros history. Olmo now leads the charts for goal scorers in UEFA Euro 2024 as this was his fourth goal of the competition.
Spain set to have two players back for the final
The possible return of the two players who were suspended and missed Spain's match against France in the semifinals will strengthen the team. Both the seasoned right- back Dani Carvajal and the dependable center back Robin Le Normand were not available for selection. In the quarterfinal match against Germany, Carvajal was sent off for the tackle on Jamal Musiala, while Le Normand was handed a second yellow card and was consequently barred for the semifinal.
Jesus Navas became the oldest outfield member to compete in the World Cup and European Championship final four. He was in the lineup to start since Carvajal was suspended and unable to play. He is the sole member of Spain's 2010 FIFA World Cup-winning squad still playing for the team, and he is 38 years old.

Thank God Yamal is not English. Gareth Southgate would have brought him on for 3 minutes against Albania or something #ZeroBallKnowledge
