Five-time Ballon d'Or winner footballing icon Cristiano Ronaldo has inspired a generation of footballers. Some of these youngsters are even playing at the highest level. One such modern-day star is Los Blancos' Vinicius Junior.
The Galacticos winger made his admiration known to his idol with a message for him on Instagram. Vinicius Junior even dons the iconic number 7 jersey that was made popular by Cristiano Ronaldo himself.
The Brazilian star took to Instagram to share his heartfelt four-word message for Cristiano Ronaldo. Cristiano Ronaldo shared a celebratory image on his Instagram after he starred in Al-Nassr's victory against arch-rivals Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League. Vinicius Junior made a heartfelt comment on this post. He reaffirmed Cristiano Ronaldo to be his idol and also a source of inspiration for so many people around the world.
"Our very own Idol !!!" Vinicius commented.
Cristiano Ronaldo contributed twice in Al-Nassr's victory over Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League. He scored in the 47th and 88th minutes to confirm Al-Nassr's victory. His two goals helped him extend his lead as the top scorer in this season of the Saudi Pro League. Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored 21 goals in this season of the SPL. Notably, Ronaldo breached the 20-goal mark in a season for a club for the 15th time in his career. Cristiano Ronaldo is inching closer to his target of scoring 1000 career goals. He now has 931 goals and is maintaining a healthy lead over second-placed Lionel Messi.
Al-Nassr's victory helped them close down the lead of Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad. Al-Nassr now sits in third position in the Saudi Pro League, just 3 points shy of Al-Hilal and 7 points shy of leaders Al-Ittihad. Al-Nassr will take on Al-Riyadh on April 12th 2025.
