Spanish football club giants Real Madrid's manager Carlo Ancelotti seldom reacts on the football pitch. The Italian gaffer is known for his calm demeanour in the face of adversity. However, a different side of him was spotted on the cameras in a recent fixture.
The Galacticos coach was seen reacting aggressively from the sidelines. His reactions were directed towards the club's star footballer Vinicius Junior.
Carlo Ancelotti threatened Vinicius Junior during the match
Carlo Ancelotti was visibly upset with his star winger Vinicius Junior during the match against Real Sociedad in the semi-finals of Copa Del Rey 2025. He was screaming from the sidelines and urging Vinicius to continue playing. Ancelotti even threatened Vinicius Junior that he would be subbed out if he failed to play from his position. Moments later, Ancelotti called Diaz to warm up.
“Don’t talk, don’t talk. It was not a foul . Go to play, go and play else I’ll Sub you out,” Carlo Ancelotti screamed.
Real Madrid survived a scare against Real Sociedad in the second leg of their Copa Del Rey semifinals. Real Madrid came into the fixture with a slender one-goal lead. In a match that exposed defensive errors on both sides, 8 goals were scored. Real Sociedad threatened 15-time European champions as they led the match on most occasions. Mikel Oyarzabal struck twice and an own goal from David Alaba took the match to extra-time.
Real Madrid's scorers included - Endrick, Jude Bellingham, Tchouaméni and Anton Rüdiger. Real Madrid is going to face arch-rivals Barcelona in the finals of Copa Del Rey 2025. The much anticipated El-Classico is scheduled for April 26th. Barcelona had got the better of Real Madrid in the previous two El-Classico's in the current season.
