The word is out that Real Madrid striker Vinicius Jr is reportedly aware that he will lift the 2024 Ballon d'Or trophy. According to Spanish magazine Marca, the Brazilian winger is set to win the prestigious award handed out by France Football for the first time in his career.

The 24-year-old will be facing tough competition, with teammate Jude Bellingham and Manchester City midfielder Rodri who are also in the running.

Vinicius had a remarkable 2023-24 season for Real Madrid as the Spanish giants will win the Champions League as well as La Liga. All in all, he made 39 appearances, scoring 24 goals and providing 11 assists.

The Real Madrid star ascended through the ranks to firmly establish himself as one of the finest players globally, and it seems that the footballing community is poised to acknowledge him as such.
