In Saturday's group stage match of Euro 2024 Spain will take on Croatia at the Olympiastadion in Berlin. While Spain is not among the top favourites to win the championship, they are still seen as strong competitors and will be expected to not only survive the group stage but also finish first in the rankings on their way to a knockout stage spot.

Spain has a strong European Championship history, having been to the semifinals in three of the past four championships, winning titles in 2008 and 2012. They have only failed to get past the group stage once since 1996, and they will be looking for a podium finish after coming third in 2020 and losing to eventual champions Italy in the semifinals.

Croatia, captained by Luka Modric, is yet to see their recent World Cup success convert into the European Championship. They've finished second and third in the last two FIFA tournaments, but have never advanced past the quarterfinals in the Euros, having been eliminated in the Round of 16 in each of the previous two editions.

Here are the predictions, betting tips and odds for Germany vs Scotland:

Betting Tips:

Croatia is a defensive-minded team that can shut out the best Europe has to offer, but it will be practically hard to keep this Spain side out of the net. They've scored 13 goals in their past three friendlies, with eight different scorers, including a 3-3 tie against Brazil in March.

Spain, on the other hand, has struggled to retain clean sheets, while Croatia is also in good goal-scoring form. Modric's side has scored nine goals in the past three games, including an excellent double against Portugal in their last preparation encounter. Meanwhile, Spain has not held a clean sheet since October's shutout triumphs against Scotland and Norway, and they have now surrendered at least one goal in six consecutive games.
