The UEFA Euro 2024 is less than a month away, with some of the teams having already announced their squad ahead of the marquee tournament that is scheduled to take place in Germany from the 15th of June. The domestic club football is set to end in just a week and some players are already set to join the national squad after their vacation and their games left for the club. In the previous edition, Italy was the champions of the tournament beating England in the final. 

Ahead of the tournament beginning, Croatia have announced their squad for the upcoming tournament, the underdogs have shocked the world over the past few years as they qualified for the final of the FIFA World Cup 2018 shocking everyone in the tournament and the very next tournament in 2020 Euro they qualified for the knockout stages losing to Spain in the penalties. In the 2022 World Cup, they were the semi-finalists and won the third-place medal as well. 

They are in contention of trying to win the tournament for the first time, their most experienced campaigner Luka Modric would lead his country at the European Championship. This is a preliminary squad with the head coach  Zlatko Dalic has called 38 players for the upcoming event and there will be a cut short among to make a final squad of 26 players. 

The Croatian national team was placed in the same group as Italy, Spain and Albania. That is the group of death for the tournament and it will be a difficult time for the manager to get past through and qualify directly to the knockouts this time however they have the chance of being the third-best team.
