Liverpool is poised to take on Paris Saint-Germain in an exciting UEFA Champions League Round of 16 matchup scheduled for March 4. Additionally, the upcoming knockout stage will feature all-Spanish and all-German encounters.

Real Madrid to face their City rivals

Defending champion Real Madrid will lock horns against familiar foes in the form of Atletico Madrid in two mouthwatering city derbies after defeating the 2023 title winner Manchester City. This matchup is particularly intriguing as Real Madrid previously triumphed over Atletico in the finals of both 2014 and 2016.

Bayern Munich to face Bundesliga rivals

In another captivating pairing, Bayern Munich will take on Bayer Leverkusen, the current Bundesliga leader. The encounter promises to be competitive, especially considering that the two teams recently played to a close 0-0 draw last weekend.

Liverpool faced Ligue One Giants

Liverpool, having finished at the pole position in the 36-team standings last month, faces a formidable foe as they have been drawn against the reigning Ligue 1 champions, PSG.

This matchup will be one for history as Liverpool and PSG have never clashed in the knockout rounds of the Champions League or the traditional European Cup. Their prior encounters took place during the group stage in the 2018-19 season, with both teams securing victories on their home turf.

Barcelona faces Benfica in second bracket

In the draw, the second seed, Barcelona, has been matched with Benfica, a team they defeated 5-4 in Lisbon just a month prior. Arsenal will take on PSV Eindhoven, while Inter Milan is set to play against Feyenoord.

Club Brugge, which secured the final qualification spot in the knockout stage, will face Aston Villa. Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund is set to compete against Lille.
