The UEFA Champions League was back in action with another set of matches this week featuring top-tier European clubs - Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, PSG and Arsenal.
The European giants were up against the likes of RB Salzburg, Zagreb Dinamo, and Feyenoord.
Real Madrid wins 5-1 against RB Salzburg
Real Madrid asserted their dominance right from the start, controlling possession and launching numerous shots on goal. They broke through Salzburg's defence decisively in the 23rd minute. Vinicius delivered an exquisite cross from the left flank, and Bellingham, displaying his vision, executed a no-look pass to Rodrygo, who finished with flair into the bottom-left corner.
The defending champions extended their lead to 2-0 in the 32nd minute, with Bellingham and Rodrygo once again demonstrating their exceptional chemistry. They executed a precise give-and-go; Bellingham's clever backheel set up Rodrygo, who struck a brilliant first-time finish.
Following Rodrygo, Kylian Mbappe scored in the 48th minute and Vinicius Junior struck home twice in the 55th and 77th minute.
Arsenal emerge victorious
Arsenal hosted Zagreb Dinamo at Emirates. The Premier League giants made small work of Dinamo as they won comfortably 3-0 with goals from Declan Rice and Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard.
Feyenoord stuns Bayern Munich
Eredivisie club Feyenoord staged a remarkable upset by defeating Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich on their home turf. Capitalizing on their home advantage, Feyenoord showcased incredible resilience, first taking the lead and then maintaining it with a strong defensive performance. Bayern Munich made a notable 27 attempts on goal but only managed to place 6 shots on target. Giménez emerged as the standout player for Feyenoord, scoring twice, once from open play and the other from a penalty. Feyenoord won 3-0.
PSG Bottles Manchester City
Manchester City once again bottled their lead in the second half to lose the important fixture 4-2. Manchester City took a 2-0 lead by the 53rd minute with strikes from Jack Grielish and Erling Haaland after a goalless first half.
However, PSG staged an incredible comeback as they scored thrice in the remaining time to seal their victory. Dembele, Barcola, Neves and Ramos found their names on the scoresheet.
