The UEFA Champions League matchday 7 continued on January 23rd with the Galacticos, aka Real Madrid, taking on Austrian club RB Salzburg at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

RB Salzburg had to play the best football to stand a chance against the reigning champions.

Rodrygo-Bellingham Duo gives Madrid early lead

Real Madrid started the fixture with authority as they dominated possession and shots. They were finally able to break through Salzburg's defence in the 23rd minute. Vinicius sent a delicious cross from the left flank to Bellingham, who skillfully played a no-look pass to Rodrygo, who produced a classy finish to the bottom-left corner.

The defending champions extended their lead to 2-0 in the 32nd minute. Once again, Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo showcased wonderful link-up play. Bellingham and Rodrygo play a decisive 1-2 pass, Bellingham sent a backheel pass to Rodrygo who produced a brilliant first-time finish. Commentators even called the goal to be a contender for one of the best of the season.
