The Turkish Football Federation President wrote a letter to UEFA and FIFA, urging them to decide on banning Isreal and its players from major tournaments. Haciosmanoglu claimed that the two bodies have remained silent on the issue despite claiming themselves to be the 'defenders of civic values and peace'.

"It is now time for FIFA and UEFA to act. Despite positioning themselves as defenders of civic values and peace, the sporting world and football institutions have remained silent for far too long," Haciosmanoglu wrote in his letter as quoted by Turkiye’s state-run Anadolu news agency.
Will UEFA ban Isreal due to war in Gaza?
In his statement, he further added that Israel has been carrying out inhumane opeariions in Gaza and its surrounding areas, raising his concern on the issue. "Guided by these values, we feel compelled to raise our deep concern regarding the unlawful (and more importantly, completely inhumane and unacceptable) situation being carried out by the State of Israel in Gaza and its surrounding areas," Haciosmanoglu added in his letter.

Israel has been taking part in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers to try and qualify for the 2026 World Cup. The UEFA ruling committe has decided to conduct voting for decision on Isreal. If the majority agree for their ban, there is a possibility of Isreal getting banned.
