Thiago Motto fails to convince Pierre Kalulu as he is taking more time on his decision

Pierre Kalulu is a defender that Juventus is keen to acquire, and the two teams have come to a deal. Although Juventus anticipated that the most difficult aspect of the process would be negotiating with AC Milan, that aspect has been surprisingly simple. Although the Bianconeri and Milan have already reached an agreement, the player's reluctance to transfer to Turin remains the true barrier. 

Currently, Pierre Kalulu has appeared in 112 games for AC Milan. He joined AC Milan in 2020 from Lyon and since then he has been a key member of the squad. Milan and Juventus reached an understanding earlier this week over the terms and conditions of the Frenchman's move. In addition to a buy option for €14 million plus €3 million in add-ons and a 10% sell-on clause, Bianconeri agreed to pay a price of €3.5 million to bring him in on loan for the season. 

Juventus has attempted to persuade Kalulu; Thiago Motta has spoken with the defender directly, promising him that he would be an important member of the club. Motta described how he intends to use the Frenchman and the many places he may cover within the club, but Kalulu remains sceptical, according to reports. According to the report, the defender has asked for additional time to consider the transfer since he is concerned about his chances of getting regular playing time in Turin.

Kalulu is taking his time to consider what to do next. The concept and his possible involvement in it were discussed over the phone by Juventus coach Thiago Motta and the player, but the recent rumours, the Old Lady has been getting impatient with the player's lack of commitment. While some agents and directors talk about Kalulu's potential departure from San Siro, the player is practicing with Milan.
