Angel Di Maria, Argentina's winger, announced on Thursday that he will not represent his nation once again following the Copa America in the United States in 2024. Since making his debut for Argentina in 2008, Di Maria has played in 136 matches. He has played in four World Cups and was a goal scorer in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Final in which Argentina won against France.

On Sunday, in the Copa America final, Di Maria will play his farewell game for Argentina. The 36-year-old has proven time and again that this Sunday's game will be his final one with Argentina.
