The head of the Foden family expressed her views in an interview with MailOnline regarding her grandson, who was subjected to chants shortly before his substitution in the 58th minute due to an ankle injury.

"It really upset me and the whole family; it’s disgusting. It really hurt to hear what was being shouted by the fans about Claire." She said.

"These people need to have a good look at themselves. Claire is a wonderful woman and mother. I don’t want to say too much because it makes me so angry and makes me feel sick." She added.

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, criticised Manchester United fans regarding their behaviour in connection with a recent incident. Foden's injury has ruled him out for the club's upcoming game against Crystal Palace.

Phil Foden aims to move past this incident and his ankle injury. Manchester City will require the 24-year-old to perform at the peak of his abilities for the remainder of the Premier League season as the team seeks Champions League qualification.

Manchester City currently sits in the sixth position in the Premier League standings. They need to end the season within the top 5 ranks to qualify for the Champions League.
