AC Milan's return to winning ways was left soured by their goalkeeper Mike Maignan's terrible head injury. The goalkeeper clashed with his own teammate in an attempt to sweep the ball off from a dangerous position.
AC Milan clashed against Udinese at Bluenergy Stadium. AC Milan thrashed the hosts with a 4-0 scoreline with goals from Rafael Leao, Theo Hernandez, Pavlovic and Tejjani Reijnders.

Abraham prayed for Mike Maignan
During the second half of the fixture, in the 51st minute, Maignan left his goal lines in an attempt to intercept a dangerous ball but collided headfirst with his teammate Jimenez in the process. The injury rendered him unconscious on the pitch.
Both players required extensive treatment on the pitch for several minutes before being taken off on stretchers in concerning circumstances. Jimenez, however, stayed on the pitch but was substituted after just 18 minutes.
Amidst this incident, Abraham knelt and prayed for the goalkeeper's health while on the bench. Subsequent reports from Italy indicated that Maignan was conscious and speaking when he departed the field.
The goalkeeper was rushed to the hospital following the incident. It has now been reported that Mike Maignan has been discharged from the hospital and all his medical tests have come back negative. The reports have come as a relief to the club, fans and entire football community.
"Fortunately, Mike is fine. We all asked the doctor how he was, and he reassured us by telling us that he’s in the hospital for tests, but he’s doing okay. He’s a great captain," Milan defender Matteo Gabbia said after the game.
