A supercomputer has analysed the Champions League data and identified the leading contenders for the season's prestigious tournament.
Currently, Liverpool is at the top of the league phase table, boasting a perfect record with seven consecutive victories. Their impressive performance underscores a successful inaugural campaign under Arne Slot, as they continue to excel on multiple fronts.
Supercomputer predicts this year's UEFA Champions League winner
The supercomputer has determined that Arne Slot's team will not be lifting the trophy in May. This bold prediction, which has sparked some controversy given the team's current form, comes from Bettingexpert's supercomputer BETSIE.
A total of 100,000 simulations were executed, factoring in a range of elements, including last season's results, the ongoing campaign, pre-season expectations, and xG earned throughout the season.
The supercomputer forecasts that the Champions League winner will be a team that has yet to claim the silverware. According to the simulations, Arsenal is the favourite to emerge victorious, with Mikel Arteta's squad achieving success in 26.3% of the scenarios analysed. Following closely, Liverpool also showed strong potential, topping the simulations in 21.6% of cases.
Real Madrid holds third place with a 9.4 percent chance of winning, while Barcelona confidently sits in fourth with 8.9 percent. Rounding out the top five is Bayern Munich, boasting a 6.70 percent chance of triumph. Paris Saint-Germain follows closely behind with a 6.50 percent chance, and Manchester City finds itself in seventh place with 6.20 percent.
Inter Milan, Bayer Leverkusen, and Atalanta are ranked among the top ten most likely winners according to the supercomputer's analysis. Aston Villa is positioned in eleventh place, with a probability of 1.50 percent of winning the trophy.
The Gunners and the Reds are also gearing up for a fierce competition for the Premier League crown this season, with Liverpool holding the advantage at this stage.
