According to reports, Southampton made a deal for Aaron Ramsdale earlier with a 20 million offer, but Arsenal turned it down. Ramsdale is reportedly looking for a summer transfer that will provide him more playing time as the 2024–25 season goes on.

Southampton, the Gunners' Premier League rivals, are rumoured to have created a formal first approach. However, their offer is purported to have fallen short of Arsenal's demands, and the south coast team is now in further negotiations over bringing the English star to St Mary's Stadium prior to Friday's deadline. Although Southampton is claimed to be "positive" about closing the deal, it is unclear whether they will be able to abide by Arsenal's purported conditions.

As per reports, Mikel Arteta's team is requesting that any loan arrangement include payment for the goalkeeper's whole salary. In addition, Arsenal is demanding a further £5 million in loan fees. But Southampton denied this and made an even better approach by offering  £25 million for a permanent transfer.

The Gunners and Southampton have come to a deal on the No. 2 player's transfer, which may net Arsenal up to €29 million. Ramsdale is eager to go and establish himself as a top option somewhere else, and the north London team will not obstruct his departure.

Throughout the summer, the 26-year-old Ramsdale was getting close to leaving Emirates, with Wolves previously appearing to be the most probable destination. Sam Johnstone of Crystal Palace is now apparently the target for the Molineux Stadium team, with Wolves expected to shell out £10 million in signing the 31-year-old.

Arsenal set to sign Joan Garcia as David Raya’s back-up

Arsenal is adamant on replacing the England shot-blocker with Joan Garcia, the custodian for Espanyol. It has already been revealed by David Ornstein that the Premier League's biggest clubs will 'push ahead' with closing a deal.

Personal terms had previously been reached for the Spaniard, who helped the Barcelona-based team win promotion back to La Liga by emerging as their top player in the second part of the previous campaign.
