A 'Sensational Swap Deal' featuring Manchester United's Jordan Sancho and Chelsea's Raheem Sterling appears to be on the cards, as per the reports of Football Insider.
Jordan Sancho's Disappointing Story at Old Trafford
The British forward was benched on Red Devil's matchday, ahead of their fourth fixture against Arsenal last season on account of poor performance in the training sessions, as stated by coach Eric Ten Hag.
Sancho took to social media to deny such accusations and later claimed that the management was trying to turn him into a "scapegoat" for the team's poor performance.
Although Sancho was removed from the post, he never apologized to the gaffer. He was reportedly made to train away from the team and was not granted the first-team facilities.
He moved on loan to Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window and played a key role in helping the Bundesliga side reach the Champions League final. Upon returning to Man Utd in the summer, Sancho appeared to begin anew under Ten Hag, training with his teammates. However, to start the new Premier League campaign, the England winger was not included in the first two Man Utd squads.

Chelsea's desire to let go of Sterling
The Blues are looking to offload a few players before the end of the Summer transfer window; Sterling, being one of those players, presents an interesting proposition to both clubs. Raheem Sterling also missed the first two matches of the season for the Blue and is also training away from Chelsea's first squad, much like Jordan Sancho.
The Possibility of a Potential Swap
According to BBC journalist Simon Stone, Manchester United have no intentions of letting go of Sancho easily, and they will drive "a hard bargain". Simon thinks that under the ideal circumstances, Manchester United will sell Jordan Sancho; however, an alternative is to try at the end of a season-long loan, which in itself would attract a fee.
Both wingers earn high salaries at their respective clubs but are being pursued by the other club before the transfer window closes.
Moreover, swap deals like this are uncommon in football, but it's evident that both players are not needed in their current teams.
Although a swap deal between the Premier League rivals can resolve several issues for both clubs, sources indicate the negotiations are a major roadblock in such transfers.
