After England's thrilling Euro victory through extra time, the manager of Slovakia approached the referee and shoved Declan Rice across his chest, causing the Arsenal player to become enraged. Following England's thrilling Euro 2024 last-16 victory, Declan Rice got into a heated altercation with the Slovakian coach.

With just seconds remaining in regular time, Jude Bellingham performed a magnificent over-head kick to force extra time and spare England the humiliation of being eliminated by Slovakia.

In yet another terrible showing by the Three Lions, Bellingham's shot was the first on target for England. However, Harry Kane was there to head in Ivan Toney's cross and score England's second goal on target shortly after the restart. Following that, England maintained their lead and advanced to the quarterfinals, where they will take on Switzerland.

After the game, Slovakia's manager Francesco Calzona walked up to the referees to have a word, seemingly inciting an outburst of emotions and tempers on the field. Declan Rice, an England midfielder, seemed to approach the Italian coach and tell him not to become involved. The midfield player for Arsenal then seemed to be shoved away by Calzona which may have led to a brawl and argument.

Why was the Slovakia manager angry with the refs?

The head coach of Slovakia appeared to be angry with a possible foul that remained uncalled in the closing moments of extra time. After putting on yet another lackluster performance in Germany, England dragged themselves into Sunday's knockout match against Francesco Calzona's team and ran the possibility of being eliminated from the summer competition.

Indeed, Slovakia had the stronger start to the match and were promptly rewarded when Marc Guehi nibbled at his feet in the area, but David Strelec slipped a neat pass into the feet of Ivan Schranz, who converted with style past Jordan Pickford. Following an odd mistake by England's backline, Slovakia could have ended the match soon after the restart, but Calzona's team was unable to take advantage.
