25-year-old, Kylian Mbappé is currently facing some controversy. The French skipper was not included in Les Bleus’ squad for the ongoing international break despite recovering from a thigh injury initially expected to keep him out for the entire break. His absence from the team was attributed to his ongoing recovery from injury. Still, this reasoning was questioned when he played in Real Madrid’s final game before the international break against Villarreal.

French Gaffer tried to hide the truth behind Mbappe's absence 

Both Didier Deschamps and FFF president Philippe Diallo have downplayed the controversy surrounding Mbappé's absence, emphasizing that the decision was made after consulting with the player and prioritizing his well-being.

However, the situation reignited on Thursday night when Mbappé was photographed in Stockholm, Sweden, while Les Bleus were playing against Israel in the UEFA Nations League. These events have raised further questions about the situation.

According to the report, he explicitly stated during the last international break in September that he did not want to participate in the current international break, which involved matches against Israel and Belgium. His stance was made public, and the French team management was informed. 

Deschamps previously mentioned that his captain was not in the best psychological condition during that break, particularly after being booed by France fans.

According to Foot Mercato, Mbappé has expressed a strong desire to win the Ballon d’Or in 2025. To achieve this goal, he intends to selectively participate in significant matches for the French national team to minimize the risk of sustaining an injury that could jeopardize his ambition.
