The couple was first seen together at the beginning of the year, celebrating the arrival of 2025 on the beautiful island of Ibiza. When Ruben got injured and missed the congested New Year fixtures, he seized the opportunity to welcome 2025 with Maya in Spain.

The couple first crossed paths at the MTV Europe Music Awards in September 2024 in Manchester, and since then, their relationship has flourished. Evidence of their growing romance is evident, especially after Jama receives an extravagant bouquet of flowers. 

Reports indicate that this gift was specifically arranged by City Star Rubin Dias. Jama is clearly taking her connection with him seriously, as the 30-year-old recently shared on social media that she has begun lessons, recording herself attempting to speak Portuguese, with Dias providing encouragement in the background.

Manchester City is set to clash against Nottingham Forest in their next Premier League fixture on March 8. The club stands at the fourth spot of the Premier League standings. They are also in pursuit of winning the FA Cup, as they are set to face Bournemouth in the quarter-finals at the end of the month.
