Speaking to various media outlets ahead of the friendly against Everton in Chicago, Amorim addressed the finish United had in the previous tournament. However, he was confident of winning the major trophies again. Amorim claimed that there are some things one cannot buy, which are possessed by Manchester United, like pedigree, history, and fans.

"I know it's a massive gap from where we finished, but it's Manchester United. We need to return to Europe. I have no doubts (On winning EPL and UCL). There are some things you cannot buy that this club has: pedigree, history, and fans. With all these things, if we have a different culture, we can return to our place," hoped Amorim as he hoped for a major turnaround with a change in team culture.
