In the Press Conference at the Seoul World Cup Stadium ahead of the match against Newcastle United, Son claimed to have made amazing memories in the club. He noted how he was a small kid when he went to North London, but is leaving as a grown man.

"It was the most difficult decision I have made in my career. Such amazing memories. It was so hard to make the decision. I came to north London as a kid - a very young age, a young boy came to London who didn't even speak English. Leaving this club as a grown man is a very, very proud moment," said Heung-min Son in the Press Conference.

"I need a new environment to push myself," - Heung-min Son

Tottenham was reportedly interested to have a deal from the Saudi Arabian clubs, which offered them high prices. However, as the 33-year-old was interested in making a move to Los Angeles FC in the MLS, they are currently discussing the deal. Son claimed that he wanted a new environment to push himself, which is the reason behind his Tottenham exit.

"I need a new environment to push myself. I need a little bit of change - 10 years is a long time. I came to North London as a kid, 23 years old, at such a young age. I leave this club as a grown man, a very proud man," Heung-min Son added.
