Toni Kroos left Real Madrid at the end of the previous campaign, and there was a strong argument to be given that he was the best midfield player in the world. Los Blancos have their sights set on a player who is widely regarded as the best player in the Premier League right now, as the German has now retired.

Competing Vinicius Junior, Dani Carvajal, as well as Jude Bellingham for the Ballon d'Or is Rodri Hernandez of Manchester City, who played a pivotal role in Spain's triumph at the 2024 European Championship. following multiple rumours that Real Madrid was interested in signing Rodri, the Spanish international being their primary priority.

According to the sources, Manchester City is getting ready to offer Rodri a new deal. They are pushing this arrangement in an effort to swiftly cross the boundary. Although their Real Madrid contacts claim Los Blancos are considering signing him, they acknowledge that they would find it difficult to pay City's demands or close a deal for him come summertime.

But, City will move for Rodri’s extension after the resolution regarding their Premier League allegations and the potential penalties that may be imposed. The other option for Los Blancos to pursue Rodri after he runs down his contract. Since Rodri will have more negotiating power in the last two years of his contract, City does not want him to reach that point. They also know that at a certain point in the future, Rodri might want to go back to Madrid.
