Khabib Nurmagomedov is passionate about fighting, his family, and soccer, and the Eagle's unwavering passion for soccer is widely recognized. Owing to this, he has issued a warning to the Real Madrid player and has accepted the 1v1 challenge.
Khabib spoke about how his boyhood desire was to play football professionally. Unfortunately, though, that was not in "Father's Plan." However, after quitting fighting and even coaching (apart from short stints at fighters' camps), the former UFC champion has discovered a newfound passion for soccer.
Nurmagomedov's desire was partially fulfilled in 2020 when he announced his retirement from the UFC. FC Kamaz, a team in the Russian Professional Football League, even extended a contract offer to him in 2021. His all-time favorite team is still the legendary and historic Real Madrid FC.
For this reason, it was quite touching to see Toni Ruediger, a player for the RMFC, challenge "The Eagle" to a "1v1" soccer match on Instagram. Almost instantly after which, Nurmagomedov replied, jokingly threatening the German and Real Madrid center back.

"MMA is 1v1; it's not football." In response to the Real Madri star's challenge, he posted on Instagram Stories with the message, "Be careful." "The Eagle" has cleverly declined Ruediger's challenge, indicating that a mixed martial arts match is the only one-on-one match that piques his attention. However, three years ago, he finally realized his ambition of playing football.
Khabib Nurmagomedon played for FC Legion Dynamo
Even though Khabib Nurmagomedov has won titles in mixed martial arts and Combat Sambo, he still views soccer as the "king of sports." And he has this opinion in spite of the fact that even the top soccer players, like as Cristiano Ronaldo, are fans of Khabib and MMA. Khabib Nurmagomedov did, receive his opportunity to play professional football when he signed with Makhchkala, the capital of Dagestan,'s FC Legion Dynamo. The former UFC champion hasn't really participated in any games for the team, though, so it appears that his signing was more of a publicity stunt.
