Robert Lewandowski scores a century of goals, to go down as a Barcelona legend

FC Barcelona's veteran striker Robert Lewandowski has achieved a unique feat for his club. The 36-year-old veteran scored a century of goals for FC Barcelona.

FC Barcelona defeated Athletic Club 3-0 at San Mames. The team topped Laliga 2024-25 standings with 86 points and scored 102 goals this season.

Robert Lewandowski scores a century for FC Barcelona 

FC Barcelona was welcomed to the pitch at San Mames with a guard of honour by the Athletic Club. The reigning champions started the match with a bang as Robert Lewandowski scored in the 14th minute. Upon receiving a pass inside the Athletic's box, Robert Lewandowski skillfully controlled the ball and chipped it over the goalkeeper with great precision. The goal marked a significant milestone for Robert Lewandowski. The Polish scored his 100th goal for the Catalans with a chip shot. Robert Lewandowski became the 21st player to score many goals for FC Barcelona. 

However, this wasn't the end of the night for the Polish as he headed home another goal in the 17th minute off an assist from Raphinha to bag his 27th La Liga goal of the season. Had the Polish been injury-free and played all the matches, he would have been a top contender for the Pichichi award. He still finished as the second-highest goal scorer of the season in La Liga.

Robert Lewandowski's fabulous season has given him Ballon d'Or shouts. The Polish veteran has 45 goal contributions this season while amassing 42 goals and assisting thrice. Robert Lewandowski's current contract runs until June 2026. The Polish veteran is expected to extend his stay at Camp Nou after a fabulous season.
