Klopp lands a new Job

Sky Germany reported that Jurgen Klopp is set to take on the role of Global Head of Soccer at Red Bull. The 57-year-old finalized a long-term agreement with Red Bull and is scheduled to assume his new position on January 1, 2025. Rather than returning to the touchline, Klopp's new role will involve providing strategic support to the coaches of RB Leipzig, RB Salzburg, and the New York Red Bulls, as well as other clubs within the Red Bull network. Klopp's primary focus will be on advancing Red Bull's playing philosophy and utilizing his network for scouting to identify promising coaches and young talent.

Klopp has a contract with Red Bull that includes an exit clause allowing him to leave for a suitable role, possibly the Germany job. The contract extends until the 2026 World Cup. Sky Germany notes that Klopp's path to becoming head coach of the national team will become, "more possible than ever" if current boss Julian Nagelsmann steps down after the tournament in North America.

Klopp is currently preparing for his new role after being recruited by Oliver Mintzlaff, the current CEO of Corporate Projects and Investments at Red Bull. Mintzlaff is eager for the new hire to succeed.
