Endrick to go on loan to Premier League
Real Madrid's young talent Endrick has emerged as an unexpected transfer target for Southampton, as the Brazilian forward is considering his future options.
After completing his move to Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2024, following his 18th birthday, Endrick joined the club with the understanding that he would be competing with established stars like Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, and Rodrygo for playing time.
Endrick has already netted two goals for the Blancos in just 10 appearances, yet he remains without a single La Liga start and has only accumulated 54 minutes of play in the Spanish top flight. This situation is fueling speculation that a loan move may be on the horizon.
Southampton and Tottenham in fray to sign Endrick on loan
Premier League clubs, including Tottenham, have expressed interest in Endrick after he made his move to Europe. Additionally, Southampton is now in the equation as they search for attacking reinforcements in their battle against relegation.
Roma, now under the guidance of Claudio Ranieri, sees the potential to give the talented teenager some valuable playing time in Serie A. Another promising option for Endrick is Real Valladolid, which would keep him in Spanish football.
Endrick remains optimistic and patient as no decision has been finalized yet. He is under contract with Madrid until 2030, recognizing that his opportunities will come soon.
Reports surfaced last month confirming that Endrick decided to stay in Madrid during the winter window rather than stay in Spain to compete for more playing time. As a result, the 18-year-old has been dropped from Brazil's international squad for November. Manager Dorival Junior explicitly stated that Endrick was not playing enough football to justify his inclusion in the team. If Endrick seeks more playing time and continues to face challenges in securing a spot under Ancelotti, he may consider exploring opportunities outside of Madrid. It will be interesting to see if his next chapter leads him from the European champions to a Premier League team that could use his talent.
