Manchester City have become of the champions of the English Premier League 2023/24. This was their 6th title in seven years under Pep Guardiola. The Spanish coach did the impossible as he led the side to win the trophy four consecutive times and made a record of becoming the first team to do so in the history of the Premier League. The Sky Blues ended the season with just one trophy as they lost the final of the FA Cup against Manchester United

Ahead of the next season, there will be the slightest of changes with a few players leaving the club. However, as things stand Guardiola has a year of contract left with the club and the Spanish manager has no intentions of renewing a contract with the English champions as he believes that he has won every possible thing during his stint with the club so far.

The 53-year-old recently won his fifth PL 'Manager of the Season' title. He has been one of the finest managers of all time, with the Spaniard having shown his tactical masterclass in three different countries now, starting in Spain, Germany, and now England. The former FC Barcelona coach has turned out to be the best under pressure and has come on top with his team.

Who will take over after Guardiola?

He previously revealed that he will take a break from coaching after his stint in England and make some assessments to take inspiration, have the urge to coach a national team in the future of the game, whether in South America, or Europe and as he wants to experience playing in the Copa America. The club has won the UEFA Champions League under his managerialship. He has won 32 major titles across spells with Barcelona, Bayern Munich and now City, but he is yet to prove his tactical mind in international football.

Guardiola also predicted the possible next manager of City after he leaves the club, as he believes former club captain Vincent Kompany might be a good option in the future as Spaniard believes the Belgian has the potential to become a good manager in the upcoming years.
